OPAL, Fédération des Opérateurs Alternatifs du Luxembourg
Since its creation in 2007, OPAL has been committed to strongly advocating for telecom operators in order to promote greater competition in telecommunications services in Luxembourg. It has successfully established itself as a key voice with market regulatory bodies such as the Luxembourg Regulatory Institute (ILR), as well as with relevant ministries, employer and labor chambers, and European institutions. OPAL represents nearly all telecommunications and broadcasting operators in Luxembourg.
Facilitate dialogue between public authorities, the ILR (Luxembourg Regulatory Institute), and players in Luxembourg’s ICT market
Represent and defend the interests of Members with market stakeholders (ILR, relevant ministries, employer and labor chambers, European institutions)
Enable Members to share viewpoints, information, and analyses regarding the market and its regulation
Monitor developments and, where appropriate, contribute to the drafting of regulations governing the ICT market
Promote the views of alternative operators, Members of OPAL, by responding to national and European consultations
